Info:

Quote:
Uruguay vs Czechoslovakia 1954

"In the 11th minute, the Czechoslovakian team had a chance to score, but Cruz bravely deflected Trnka's shot."

"The Czechoslovakian team put on a valiant performance against the reigning world champions. This applies mainly to the reserves, who were the best part of our team. Trnka had a great game, especially since he frequently joined the attack and threatened the opponent's goal with shots."

Quote:
Czechoslovakia vs Romania 1953

"In the 27th minute, Birtas blocked Trnka's powerful shot."

"Trnka and Kraus fulfilled their roles; Trnka even threatened the opponent's goal dangerously several times in the first half."

"The two defenders, Trnka and Kraus, did a very good job, especially in their defensive roles."

Quote:
Czechoslovakia vs. Hungary 1953

"The midfielders, especially Trnka, played too far forward. Instead of consistently covering both Hungarian links."

"Our defensive lines dropped back against the Hungarian forwards, instead of fighting for every ball with them. This mistake was evident, for example, in midfielders Trnka and Kraus, who were responsible for the two goals conceded."

"The decisive moment of the match came in the 17th minute, when Hungarian defenders brought down Trnka during an attack, leaving him sprawling on the ground. The referee didn't award the foul, as our players stopped playing."

"Trnka was the best in coverage, and Kopčan moved slowly."

Quote:
Czechoslovakia vs Switzerland 1953

"The tactic chosen by the coaching staff before the match, in relation to the opponent's defensive system, was to utilize and free up both wing midfielders, Trnka and Kraus, to shoot on goal, which proved to be entirely effective. It was Trnka and Kraus who contributed greatly to the resounding victory with their three goals."

"The beginning of the match belonged to our team, who attacked constantly. Trnka's shot rebounded off defender Zehnder, hitting the crossbar and going out for a corner."

"After alternating attacks, our reserves began to play, especially Kraus, who in the 14th minute played a great ball to Trnka, whose long-range shot resulted in our second goal. Then our players settled into the game, and it was Trnka again, whose shot from about 25 meters made it 3-0."

"The match began with us attacking relentlessly. Trnka's shot from about 25 meters made it 3-0."

"After some back-and-forth attacks, our substitutes started to get involved, especially Kraus, who in the 14th minute set up Trnka, whose shot from about 25 meters made it 3-0."

"Then our players got into the game." "Right-back Trnka was their best player and, with two magnificent goals from a distance of between 20 and 25 meters (minutes 58 and 63), he assured his team the necessary tranquility."
